Been sooooo busy and life is complicated. I thought being older would make for a sit back and relax time of life, but it seems things just get busier and more rushed.

I've been so busy that I haven't been on Facebook or my forums much at all in the past 2 weeks. I'm sure people think I've passed on. Heard there was a celebration already planned. :-)

We are getting our kitchen re-done, so the last 2 weeks have been a total disruption, things from the counter and cabinets are all over the place. Counters are done so now need to wash all the dishes and cabinet interiors, then put the dishes back. Then get to clean and re-stain the doors.

Next is floor tiles then packing up stuff and making the big move. Somewhere in there I get to contact a realtor and put our house on the market.

Maybe then this supposed laid back lifestyle of being old will kick in. Naw - I just don't see it. :-)

Just thought I would tell y'all that I miss you and haven't disappeared.

You been gone???

Thanks Monza, I knew you would miss me. :-)

Are you getting the tile like I had installed?

You will love it.

I can't wait for you to get moved, I plan on visiting:)

Nothing is more stressful than a major remodel. Between our countertops, flooring, and bathrooms, I am done for awhile. I still want the painting done, but the thought of another work crew in my house for a week isn't something I even remotely want to think of right now.

Fallon, today I talked to the tile guy that KWGraniteGuy uses for his business. I was planning on the 18" tiles because I thought they would be cheaper & don't want to put in too much money in the re-do...we might not get it back out.

Anyhow, the guy strongly recommended the wood tile and I showed him the piece you sent home and he loved it. He is working up a quote. I plan on calling the guy you used.

Spent today cleaning the dust off the cabinet shelves & washing the dishes. Decided I didn't like the shelf paper, so I bought new & SCRAPED off the old crap. Then I decided that the back walls were too dingy, so I dug out the white paint and painted before putting the shelf paper back up.

You for sure will be invited to come hang out at the lake.

It is always a downward spiral when we start a remodel! I am like you, I am too old for this. I restained my kitchen cabinets and they look brand new. But it took me nearly a week to recover:)
