A GRANNY! Well sorta. My adopted daughter, or daughter from another mother is having her first baby in December (projected) I can't wait!!! Everytime I think of this I tear up and I do NOT cry easily.

I have wanted to be a granny since I was young even before I had kids of my own. Maybe thats why my sons dont have girlfriends they know i will expect a house full of children :)


Just really hope her/his other grandma will be willing to share them alot with me. 

That is so exciting.


As far as the sharing - that's up to her and her significant other. If they want to frequently include you in the baby's life, then they will, if not, then you'll have to pressure your son's a little harder to have some grandchildren of your own. Even then, it's up to the mother should they ever split up. Unfortunately that's life in today's world.

But your news is really exciting. 

I am too!! December also & 1st grandchild. They were going to wait another 5 yrs but seems that plan didn't work :) First Sonogram was this past week. Can't go FB with it until June so been trying to keep my mouth shut lol. 

Congratulations to you too, AFWife - being a grandparent is so much better than being a mom....you can spoil them rotten then send them home to momma & daddy. Let the parents contend with the newly spoiled kids. :-) 

YEA!! we can go baby shopping! The girl having the baby is very close to our family. Her husband is my oldest sons best friend and she was my youngest sons bf. She lived with us for a while when she had issues at home. And she worked with me for almost a year. They call me mom :) Heck now her mother actually came around and started liking me at their wedding.

Without a doubt i am super excited. Her first dr visit is next week. I know its too early to project the sex of the baby but I so wish we already could.

I just absolutely love kids, no matter what age they are. Hell I am still raising my 50 year old! ;)
