I'm glad we have good neighbors!

Today the mail carrier put a $100 customer reward card (VISA Card), sent to us from TXU, in our neighbors mailbox and fortunately they (the neighbor) walked it over to us.

I'm sure most of you have gotten these and all you have to do is call the number on the card to activate it and go shopping. No questions asked.

It just irritates the #&*@ out of me that this stuff happens. Our carrier nearly hosed me out of $100 had it not been for an honest neighbor who brought it by the house.

This happens way too often and I know there's been times that I did not receive a letter I was expecting for this very reason, but couldn't prove it because whoever got it, either kept it, or trashed it.

I will be at the Post Office in the morning to make a complaint.

Rant over ...

they are idiots. Paid by the government and want raises. They keep saying they need more money but we aren't getting our money worth now!

I got mail from a person that was 2 blocks over, and my neighbor got mine!

Good luck at getting any action out of the Kingwood PO - that is the most ineffective bunch of government employees I've ever seen.

I understand your rant though - we often get other people's mail and most recently we got a letter that had written on it "delivered to wrong address". Fortunately it wasn't anything important, but it pizzes me off that the government employees can slack off, do a horrible job, not do their job at all (like when you go to the Kingwood PO and have to stand in line for hours (it seems) and only one clerk working and others just standing around holding the floor down.

The PO on 1960 west (don't remember the cross street - those people kick butt!!! They are the best - but we are zoned into the stupid KW post office, like all the rest of KW.

The lady directly across the street, whose house number is only one digit off from ours, has our exact same last name.

It has been crazy.

Having slept on it, I doubt a trip to the post office to lodge a complaint will do any good.

I'm certain they don't give a rats azz and, in all likeliness, I'm apt to come away more frustrated than I was yesterday and I don't need that.

As the saying goes, "I've got better things to do today".

Smoochie, I bet you and your neighbor have worn a path between your houses deliverying each other's mail ...

Everyone have a nice day and I'm going to Lowes to burn down my Rewards Card.

Pepper - you can write a letter or email to the big post office in the sky. A friend use to work for the Postal Inspector's office and they really do read those letters and that may do more good than arguing with the stupids at the local level who do not care.

At least you will feel like you tried to do something to improve the KW USPS.

OMA, I saw that feature on the USPS website and I'm going to drop them a note.

If I get a response, I'll let you know.

Thanks
