Well, that was me today....alllll day. Nothing was wrong, I wasn't upset with anyone, just friggin pissy.....all day. So, I got in the kitchen (I love to cook) and made a banana nut bread loaf, blueberry muffins and for dinner was boneless pork chops in mushroom soup and a .....I have no idea what it's called but it's fried okra with squash, onion and tomatoe.

Ok, I'm starting to perk up now. Hope you all have been non-pissy today!

I had a great day because I slept a little. It works wonders.

Hope tomorrow is better. Hugs pissy frog.

Froggie --- 11 years ago -

LOL.....thanks Fab, glad you got some well needed sleep!!

I've heard of frogs pissing when you pick them up but I've never heard of a pissy frog. That sounds yuck. :-)

Hope you feel better tomorrow. The weather is suppose to be delightful tomorrow afternoon, so maybe you can take your froggy self out and enjoy the day.

I haven't left the house all day except to carry the dog out so she can potty. Poor thing can't walk all that far, so I carry her out and make her walk back so she will get a bit of exercise.

FF - you needed the sleep after all you went through earlier in the week.

It was yuck...totally not like me at all!!! Poor DH and DD were walking on egg shells all day, and I hate that!!! I'm usually super happy all e time. I'm blaming Mother Nature and her cold crap!!!

Anyway, I'm better and can't wait to go to bed to end this day.

Ever just been in a bad mood?

Yeah...right now with the BS that's on TV now...

FabFive --- 11 years ago -

Look I didn't mean to imply I got a full nights sleep. It was just being woken up every hour instead of every 5 minutes LOL.

TexasOma (Mod) --- 11 years ago -

As the babies grow and eat on their own, you will get more and more sleep. :-)

Froggie --- 11 years ago -

Fab...hopefully the time will stretch to two hours, the three and before ya know it...you will have another litter to deal with. Oh the life of a breeder!!!! LOL

BUT, I know you take the best possible care if these little cuties!!! I can't wait to see 'em and love on them!!

When are y'all coming out? We can't wait to have you.

Smoochie and the Bean --- 11 years ago -

I've been in a very crappy mood today and everything is just pissing me off more and more.

First, I found out that my company, where I do freelance telecommuting work, is changing gears and they don't need my line of work anymore. This has been the best job, and my boss LOVES me and calls me an angel for what I do for them. It is a huge disappointment and I am very sad to have to look elsewhere.

Then, the house we are renting has been infested with fire ants since prior to move-in. They have had to treat it every three weeks, yet there are still fire ants present. Today, the landlord called to say that they are only required to treat for the first 60 days after move-in, and since that has passed, the ants are now my responsibility.

Then, I get a yummy pumpkin cheesecake loaf delivered. That isn't very good for the diet, but I was only going to have a smidgen! When I walked into the kitchen to get a slice, the kids did the whole "he did it! she did it!" looks. Where is my yummy bread? In the trashcan.

Froggie --- 11 years ago -

Oh my.......well at least you HAVE a reason to be in a bad mood. I'm sorry....go grab a glass of wine and soak in a nice warm bubble bath. That usually works for me!

Smoochie and the Bean --- 11 years ago -

Haha that sounds really nice!!

FabFive --- 11 years ago -

I'm in a shyty mood! Part of the reason is the kids are climbing the walls and can't go out. Another part is that I'm sleep deprived. And even better part is something I can't talk about.

Anyways, I'm tired and pissy. Just not a good combo. Planning on sleeping soon though. Hopefully the babies arent too loud tonight.

AngieKaye --- 11 years ago -

Sleep in the barn with the horses. Hay will keep you warm and the nature will allow you to sleep. Tell everyone you are on vacation! Get some sleep

FabFive --- 11 years ago -

I might have to get into the horse blanket to get warm!!

I feel slightly better now. Settled down with half an orange to munch on.

Froggie --- 11 years ago -

Ok....pissy mood is back but this time with a reason. The ex, I'm refraining from using really foul language here, has decided that he can't contribute to the DD's nursing school expenses. Just two weeks go I spoke with him (somebody punch me please) and he agreed to a sum of money monthly to help. Well guess what?? Today he decided not to help.....so it's scramble time to find the funds.

Who is going to offer to bail me out of jail when I beat the livin' tar outta him??? He has his cars, boats, vacation home and who knows what else but can't help with our DD's future??? Grrrrrrrrrr!!!

FabFive --- 11 years ago -

Me. I'll bail you out.

And that's BS that he agreed then changed his mind.

But it proves once again why you should never trust a loser.

Froggie --- 11 years ago -

Yep....no kidding Fab, and I get to be the one to tell my DD that unless I can pull a rabbit outta my hat, she may not be going to school much longer.

She is in year 3 of her RN schooling, it would be ashamed for her to settle for a LVN degree. I'm so pissed, I can't even think straight.

Get that bail money ready Fab...

FabFive --- 11 years ago -

She can't settle for her LVN at this point in the game. Can she get loans or scholarships??

TexasOma (Mod) --- 11 years ago -

Have her go talk to the nursing program director. If her grades have been exceptional and if she's dedicated, there may be a scholarship or grant available. The nursing school director may have some other ideas to help get her through to the RN. I hate to see young girls settle for and LVN - hospitals are not hiring LVNs anymore (the big hospitals) and she needs to get hooked to a big hospital for the experience to move up the ladder. Maybe take out a loan, something for the last year.

And, make sure you let her know that he promised then he reneged. Yes, he's her dad, but she needs to learn now that she's older, what a chickensnit he is. How dare he change his mind on a promise.

Froggie --- 11 years ago -

I know.....but what really ticks me off is that I have to be the bad guy. I have refrained from speaking about him in a bad light, he is after all her father. BUT...I draw the line here.

DH and I have managed to pull funds together to cover the next semester (I really do have an amazing husband) but after that I'm not sure. We will be exploring grants, loans, etc.

DD has a 97.4 GPA, I'm thinking that's pretty darn good.....thanks Oma, we will be checking into whatever is available. She is going to a private school, I don't know if that changes anything.

TexasOma (Mod) --- 11 years ago -

Froggie - even though it's a private school, there may be something available. All schools like to have good students graduate from their institution. It makes their schools look good....so they may work something out. Problem is, she needs to ask and many young people don't have that kind of courage to ask for help.

What private nursing school is she attending? Didn't know there was such a thing.

Froggie --- 11 years ago -

She is going to Chamberlain School of Nursing. Maybe "private school" isn't the right phrasing but they don't accept the Texas Tomorrow Funding we had set up for her.

There were over 400 applicants and only 35 or so were accepted. Very small classes (I like that) and lots of one on one when needed.

She loves it there...I hope you have some positive things to say about it...if not....please be honest and tell me what you think.

TexasOma (Mod) --- 11 years ago -

I have never heard of it and I have never worked with a nurse who attended or graduated from there. Did you google thoroughly for them and did you check their standing with the State Board of Nursing? Does the State BoN recognize them as an accredited nursing school? Are the credits transferable to another college when she decides to go for her Master/PHd? Those are very important questions because if it is not recognized by the BoN then she would not be able to go to 'boards' (that's the exam that gets you your license when you finish nursing school). And if the credits are not transferable then she may have to re-take lots of classes to pursue an advanced degree, which is needed more and more these days.

grandma again --- 11 years ago -

froggie, i am praying this all works out for your daughter. it is so sad when promises get broken like this when the kid is counting on it being there. :(
