What kind of rude neighbors do tnis? Its just rude.

Froggie --- 10 years ago -

yup....pretty rude. Is this a normal thing or possibly a one time deal?

Emperor of Kingwood --- 10 years ago -

Havent seem him do it before. Everyone has a yard service except him I guess.

Pepper --- 10 years ago -

The earliest I'll crank up the mower is 8:30, but there are several neighbors whose lawn service company will start mowing at day break.

The sound of those big mowers, gas powered weed whackers and blowers going off at sunrise drive me crazy ...

Froggie --- 10 years ago -

I bet if he makes it a habit, neighbors will start to complain.

Maybe they are going out of town and had to get it done. Hopefully.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 10 years ago -

I understand the desire to get it done before it reaches 452 degrees outside, but on a Saturday?

On a weekend day? How rude.

TexasOma (Mod) --- 10 years ago -

We wait at least til 8:00 when I do it myself. It's rude to wake people up with early morning.....early anything that's loud.

TexasOma (Mod) --- 10 years ago -

BTW Bob, welcome to our little forum.

Pepper --- 10 years ago -

On a weekend day?

Yep, it matters not to them ...

Emperor of Kingwood --- 10 years ago -

Thanks Tex. 8AM is reasonable.

FabFive --- 10 years ago -

We have horses that mow 24/7. And rarely do you hear them. It's perfect.

When the weather is cool I leave my bedroom windows open. Sometimes the horses come right by my room and I can hear them happily munching the grass.

It's the sound of heaven, I tell you. Couple that with cool, fresh country air while I sleep..... It's irreplaceable.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 10 years ago -

I am almost ready to leave the suburbs for country living.

FabFive --- 10 years ago -

You should. We have never once regretted it. We have nice clean well water that is free too. Oh, and the only sewage charge we will pay is once every five + years to get the septic pumped.

In O&G, you can usually commute at odd hours. DH is only in traffic five times a month when he leaves work on daytime afternoons.

Country life is worth it.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 10 years ago -

I would need a swimming pool and NO neighbors.

What? You planning on nude swimming? :-)

Froggie --- 10 years ago -

Oma!!! You beat me to it...I was going to say the same thing...LOL

FabFive --- 10 years ago -

Well everyone has neighbors somewhere but if you buy enough land its not an issue. Swimming pools are common everywhere.

FabFive --- 10 years ago -

I have walked outside in the dark in my pajamas (no elaboration) and felt pretty free from prying eyes.

Bob the key to country life is a fence. With locked gates. It changes your life.

Of course, why not?

Are your feet ready ?

Emperor of Kingwood --- 10 years ago -

MY feet?

TexasOma (Mod) --- 10 years ago -

There is a thread going on KU that goes on about your feet for some reason.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 10 years ago -

Oh yes, its a joke because of my preference for smaller breasts and feet on women.

FANCY PANTS --- 10 years ago -

We have had this problem with the yard crews in our area. According to the police they should not start mowing until 8:00am. There is a noise ordinance.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 10 years ago -

Good to know. I will be on the phone to HPD.

FabFive --- 10 years ago -

Well starting at dawn there are dove hunters out right now. But I don't hear them. I don't ever hear DH when he shoots at dawn on our own property.

He got four dove yesterday. Yum.

Emperor of Kingwood --- 10 years ago -

I'm not a hunter, but I am a gun owner. I like the peace, quiet and solitude of early summer mornings. I like the option of swimming how I want, even though I do that now (good fences). If i want to skeet shoot in my own back yard, I would love it. Not much into owning any livestock.

FabFive --- 10 years ago -

Then get enough land and let someone pay you so they can cut hay on it. Then you don't need livestock and you get a paycheck. Possibilities are endless.

RRay --- 10 years ago -

I dont think its rude at all. Do it all the time. I'm up, everybody should be up.
You can sleep when your dead.
