Brown water in Mills Branch. 

icky! What is wrong with the city of houston! Before they took over we never had this issue of our water!!

We didn't have brown water until the last few years. I have a feeling they are converting the Forest Cove area over from well water to their piped in and treated water.

And...................when I stopped the Severin guy who was flushing the hydrant at the end of the street & asked him about the brown water - he said to 'run the water for about 20 minutes and it should clear up'. OK, that fine and dandy, but who is paying for running the water for 20 minutes? Is the CoH going to reimburse me for water & sewer for that amount of water being wasted? Hell no - I'm going to pay for it. Maybe this is how the CoH plans on raising our water rates - by turning it brown & making us run the water when we ordinarily wouldn't be running it. (makes for a good conspiracy theory). 

Lol gross...i read this while drinking my coffee. I had to go fill up a glass to make sure it was clear, before I could drink anymore. What on earth would I do if I couldn't drink my coffee? 

A fellow from Severin came by about a half hour, or so, ago and open the hydrant on our cul-du-sac to clean out the water and it was simply amazing how dirty it was.

He flushed it for about 30 minutes until it was clean and said it had to with water breaks in the area recently.

The last time I saw water that dirty was when I was a kid swimming in the Mississippi river in Wisconsin.

Hopefully, we've seen the last of this ... for a while, anyway.
