Today I got a death threat on KU. They deleted the death threats but left my comments. Here's the full story:

I don't understand why you are surprised? Each of us have had some sort of ill dealings with KU, which is why we are not there anymore. It does not surprise me at all that 1. you got death threats (I've seen them issued before) 2. they deleted the comments (seen that many, many times before - called CYA) 3. the mods don't care --- we all knew that.
So, just know that it will happen again. I see that both you and Anna Conda are both iced - there must be more to the story that we don't know about.
But, in the grand scheme of life - it doesn't really matter because it's just a random neighborhood forum for 'friendly chat'. Which is why I'm not there anymore ---- not neighborly enough for me - more bully chat IMO.
Everyone here has been nice. I S.O.'d my account there, just makes me sick to deal with them. Every time I post I get jumped by the Nesters.
I will contact their host in the morning and file a formal complaint. All fun and games until they threaten your life. Does Adam still live behind the WalMart food store? Will try to contact him too - KU needs an overhaul...
This is the same reason I'm not on KU anymore...I just can't tolerate the hatred there.

I think Adam lives in Chicago now. At least that's the city that's been mentioned numerous times over the last few years. I don't personally know - so just repeating gossip with no reliable source.
When I use to get upset about stuff going on KU I would contact him by going on KW Yardsales and emailing via that link there. I usually got a reply back a few days later by someone in his office staff. Nothing was ever changed, but at least I got a reply. I'm sure the CN people have a direct line to him - which is why he posted his message directly to them on the CN Bunderground. It was worded so differently than what he posted to those on KU.
Job - you are very welcome to post over here --- just know that Oma (and others) don't put up with any picking on others (and you know exactly what I'm talking about). Bring news items, personal thoughts or experiences, social events - whatever you want & we can eventually get this place going. Just there will never be any bullying on KU2, we are a hate-free zone. :-)
yeah i got called out there yesterday by that dingbat JAMS. She is really starting to get on my last nerve! She went too far this time and its totally unforgivable in my books. But did she get punished for it??? Nope of course not!
Hey guys.....I have posted on here before, and I know some of you personally.
For those that know me, you know that I am, for the most part, conservative politically, progressive socially, and ultra protective of Kingwood when I can be.
In other words, I am a 50 year old white guy who has lived here for almost 35 years and I think I represent a fairly broad cross section of folks here.
Having said that, I must say that Job has done just about everything in his/her power to stir up the hornets nest on KU that they can.
Job...you have repeatedly hijacked posts in an attempt to elicit a response. Once you got the response you were looking for, you started screaming like a 7th grader who got pushed down on the playground.
Why do you feel like you need to poke the bear in it's cage? You don't like them. That is very apparent. But guess what, they don't like you either. Wouldn't it be the mature, responsible and adult act to just keep your comments meant to incite to yourself?
You can't call out KU for being hateful when you do everything in your power to bring out that behavior. It's like going to the woods to look for rattle snakes and then complaining about being bitten by one.
Do yourself a favor....stay away from there. Don't get an alternate i.d. Don't even lurk. It's obvious that you and the mods over there are not simpatico. So be it.
I don't like threats. Can you give me an example of where I hijacked a thread? I can give you 10x where they hijack mine. I posted a couple anti-abortion videos that pissed them off, I posted that I like Papa John's pizza and their mods called me every name in the book, I told them they are turning KU into CN and received death threats. I understand your frustration. But, the reality is that you didn't post that you like Papa John's, you posted that you like Papa John's more than a local restaurant that everyone seems to like....on the restaurant owner's OP.

The thread was about the music listening tastes of posters. There were lots of opinions and posts, mostly inane and then you piped in....

The thread quickly spiraled into a hate thread and you were right in the middle of it. In fact, you started it.
So, I agree with you 100% that Anna should have never typed the things she typed. However, I still stand by my statement that you got exactly what you were looking for when hijacking that thread.
Please, do yourself a favor. Don't go back. You'll just get your blood pressure up and in the end, you come off looking like an immature jerk. I noticed you obliterated. That's the first sensible act I've seen you do. Don't devalue it by going back for seconds.

From what I have seen over the years that I posted there, you can contact Adam and you will probably get a dismissive reply. They don't do anything about it unless they have no other option: police showing up at their door, the site hacked and members' personal information posted across the internet, lawsuits filed, etc.
Send them a message and give them the opportunity to remedy it because that is what you should do. But just know you'll probably have to take it further because THEY will not handle it just because it is the right and responsible thing to do.

Another thing I noticed over the years posting there is that crew considers anyone that doesn't agree with them instigating and a license to attack, particularly anyone who has the audacity (sarcasm) to believe that the Bible is the Word of God, the ultimate authority, and that yes, we are supposed to live by it.
I remember one thread that started as a very encouraging thread about favorite verses. Someone who was supposedly "friends" with most people on the site and didn't get into drama mostly but aligned socially with the crew that eventually went over to CN made a mocking comment and that was an implicit pass for the rest of that group to unleash a barrage of belittling and even outright harassing comments.
When I still visited that site, I saw someone who had gone from liberal politics and theology, to a life crisis where she truely started seeking after and drawing close to God. Her beliefs on God and about him were coming into alignment because she was spending time in his Word and prayer, and I saw in her posts that her other views were being transformed as well. Because that is what God's Word does, it transforms and renews our mind.
I don't know what happened to her, if it was because the outcome of that crisis wasn't what she prayed for and she hardened her heart or if it was that she stopped spending time in the Word and instead surrounds herself with people who mock God, his Word, and people who believe it.
The last time I read her post when someone linked to a thread from here, it was shocking. If it wasn't the same screen name, I wouldn't believe it was the same person. How she treats people who don't agree with her, her statements about God, the Bible and his people, and her entire worLdview is so far off that it is worse than when she started on her journey.
There was one comment about the Bible that was so incredibly ignorant, that if I didn't know better I would have thought she had never been to church, read the Bible, or even held one in her hands.
She along with other posters who I wouldn't have expected it of, were complelely hounding and mocking someone. It was like VOR had cloned herself.
The point of all this is that our beliefs, opinions, and character are not static and we are influenced and shaped by not only what we see and take in but the people we surround ourselves with.
So your opinion and perspective is influenced by who you hang with, and that is highly suspect in mine.
I stopped posting on KU a while back and haven't regretted it at all. I found that if you stay on KU long enough you become angry, bitter and spiteful without realizing it. In other words you become just like them. Since leaving that place my outlook is a lot healthier and much happier. I can't explain how you get caught up in the hate spewed over there but the best thing to do is change forums, change the people you post with and you will notice a very big difference in how you see the world. Our forum is slow and we are working on building it up but one thing I can promise anyone that comes here is that there is no hate or backstabbing here. We want this to be a wonderful place to come for information, help or just friendly people.

Sincerely....I've learned, the hard way, that for anyone to try to change another person's opinion, especially when that opinion is grounded in personal feelings, is almost impossible.
It's even harder when those feelings are vested in religion.

In other words...it's how you feel and that can never be wrong. The thing about KU that disappoints me the most is that some on there cannot have healthy, productive debate. Our society was built on the idea that individual expression should be the bedrock of our society. The free give and take should be the veins that the blood of our union flows.
But, our leaders have made it so much an idea of "us against them" that it's difficult to stand alone. Regardless of the situation or forum.
The KU community really is a microcosm of American Society today.
That...in my opinion, is sad.

I didn't say I felt that I personally was wronged. It just got to the point where the negativity and nastiness made visiting that site not worth it.
And the fact that I came to realize that it wasn't just the posters . . . I'm not going to get into it . . . but the issues start with the top and so there isn't really anything to salvage.
There is only one person that posts on that site that I don't have a connection with somewhere else that I would actually want to keep in contact with. Other than interacting with them, there is nothing else that I miss.

Maybe I feel that way about your feelings, but you don't feel that way about your own feelings or opinions and that's the point I was trying to make.
It's foolish to try to change someone's mind in a forum such as this. Anonymity is the great equalizer. If you don't have to own your stance face to face, it's easier to have a stance that is counter to the rest.
As I said, the only thing I wish for on these boards is that I type something that makes someone think a little and maybe take another look at their own position and perhaps open their minds up to other possibilities.

Tinman - I use to enjoy your posts on KU....they always reflected your personality..............that is until you included me and the people I like in one of your hateful posts on CN (it's gone now, so there is no proof), you said such ugliness about us. It was so unlike you and it really tainted my feelings about you. In fact, it contributed to my disappearance from KU. If Tinman could be "C-Nestorized" then there was no point being on KU. Really doesn't matter what was said, but it is the fact it WAS SAID.
So, you come here to tell Job to not come back to KU because he isn't the type of person y'all want posting there - doesn't 'get along'. That's kinda sad. So many times I have seen SiFi tell one of us "go back to KU2", not just SiFi, but the CNesters each have made that comment - we are not wanted.
Now, you are saying it. How is that getting along? And you say that's what you want "I just want everyone to get along." I can guarantee that if I were to go back, the whole Nester crew would jump on my every word to hound me back to KU2 because they have decided that I'm not one of them, that I don't fit with their group. Same as what's being done to Job and John and many others. Don't you sit back and think "whatever happened to ________" Well, I can tell you....but you don't want to hear it and you really don't care, as long as you are a part of the in-crowd on KU and CN (and the new CN).
You're right Oma. Tinman is seeing things from his perspective and that is totally flawed. I know he was on the CN forum too and now wants others to change to fit his mold. No thank you, we didn't start it but we did end it. The fact that others wants to associate with God haters is beyond anything I can understand.
One more thing about 'just getting along'. You are telling Job to not come back since he can't seem to blend in with the CNesters, he doesn't fit in...................believe me, Job drives me crazy too, but so do a lot of people on KU.
How is his tirades or snide remarks any different than others, especially those who follow the crown of CNesters? Take a look at Winning, Hissy Fit, Voice, WWW, Incredulo, Puss in Boots, Edgar Po Wong, Mr. Mark, Nurse Ratchet, Dorothy (you can't get more hateful than DP), sunshine, ------------------man, I could go on and on and on with names. Each of these people and their compadres set out daily to find someone to stomp the sh_t out. They care not if what they say is liked by others or not --- yet you are asking us to 'just get along'? Have you ever stood up and condemned they continuous harrassment of Perfection, of John, of More to Life, of anyone? Tinman you're aren't going to get what you want here. The ones on this forum got fed up with the hate and the daily attacks from the crazies on KU. I know for a fact you say all of them are good and if you say you didn't, you turned a blind eye. What bothers me is the hate they have for anyone who disagrees with them and then they turn around and make fun of God which is so disgusting for everyone that believes. If that is your choice why are you here, it isn't to make peace because the kind of peace you are looking for will never happen as long as the people on KU now are allowed to attack others. If you can't see that most of them do not have a nice bone in their body then you are blind and I feel sorry for you. As for us over here we are very happy and building our forum with nice people who understand that not everyone is the same or thinks the same.
OK --- I gave in and wandered over to KU. Once again a hate-fest going on - with C-nesters doing their very best to humiliate those they do not like. Wonder if tinman will step up to the plate and try to make C-nesters 'just get along'?
Tinman, are you kidding me??? You CONSTANTLY berate me for saying things to freebyrd when you have absolutely NO IDEA what has transpired between her and me over the years. I was a VERY loyal customer of hers, and yet she decided to troll me, using SEVERAL accounts on KU and The Dark Side. Yes, this was back in the day when I knew how to obtain IP addresses, but not everyone did, and definitely not freebyrd. The trolling was just part of it. The straw that broke the camel's back was when she called my HOUSE at 11:35 PM, after DH was already in bed, and left an odd, rambling voice message. I haven't stepped foot in her store since!
Again, you only see things the way YOU want to see them, and, honestly, most everyone usually feels they are right and their feelings are warranted based on what's going on in their life at the moment, but the fact of the matter is, you are no better than what you wish all of KU, and KU2 to be. Personally, I have never met you, and there are numerous people that like freebyrd - heck, I used to be one of her biggest supporters, UNTIL she decided to sell her soul to the devil in the hopes of fitting in with the "in" crowd. Hope if was worth it, because she hasn't made a dime off of me since!
