It's being reported on all the news channels that there's been another shooting at Fort Hood.

According to the news outlets, there's one confirmed dead and several wounded.

So sad ...

I read online that there were 4 dead and 14 injured. So sad for our military that they serve our country only to come back to risk their lives on post.

I read the same report, Oma ...

It's so very sad ...

It is. Why do our people have to worry about the enemy from within? It's bad enough that the idiots overseas want all Americans dead, but why people who live here? If they don't like America or Americans, then leave or go kill themselves...don't kill our people. Go to one of those God forsaken countries where they think it's better and leave our country alone.

Well, apparently the shooter had filed for PTSD and had not been given approval for that. It is a terrible process to go through once a soldier has already been through the horrors of war. To be denied makes the soldier feel angry and unaccepted. We have been there and it is hard to hang in there unless you have a great support system and are persistent.

Some in the service are being treated badly because they are still in the service and claiming disabilities. It is a cry for help. My heart goes out to the families of those injured or killed but my heart goes out more to those who need help and need someone to listen to them.

So well said, GA, so well said.

Our government has abandoned our young men and women, not just this administration, but for many years, our service people have not had the support of the government and a segment of the American people. It's a shame, a crying shame.

This is so sad. They sacrifice so much and the government gives them nothing in return. They are also threatening to do away with some of the few benefits that were presented to them when they enlisted; insurance, retirement, etc.

I thought they had already cut everything. Yet our idiotic congress members continue to pass themselves raises, take junkets, live high on the hog - all the while our military continue to make sacrifices. We need to do away with Congress, start fresh with people who really represent the American people and our military.

Amen, TexasOma!
