Looking for a woodworker to build a platform to cover a gas cook top on a kitchen island...Any recommendations? 

There it's a guy on KU who has been asking for work...Heaven Made Products it's his name, I think.

Also check with KWGraniteGuy, he may know someone who does carpentry. He is on both boards. 

Here is his recent post on KU - with his phone number. I still suggest calling KWGraniteGuy also. I had him install granite countertops for us and his work is excellent. I don't know if he does other jobs, but I seem to remember that his business is more than just countertops. You can check his profile here or on KU - send him a PM or call him.
