I was in Spec's a little while ago (didn't buy one drop of liquor), and a woman was looking for something near the line for the checkout. The clerk told her where it was, but she needed it picked up off of the shelf and handed to her. I have no idea what the item was, but we were near the food aisle so I am assuming it was food, but then she really made me LOL. She looked at the line and said, in the most sincere voice, "Do I have to stand in that line, or do you have somewhere else for me to check out?"

Really??? Is she nuts??? It's the day before Christmas, the packing lot is full, the store is packed, and they have all 8 registers open, with one main line, and the next person in line gets called to the next available cashier. I felt like telling her, "Well, of course you're special, lady, so they have one special register just waiting for you and your purchase." Geez! 

Now, now, Blue ... tis' the season :)
