Just had my breakfast (slept in and then fed all of my pets). I had the Immaculate brand cinnamon rolls that Bigla turned me onto, along with Breakfast Blend coffee from The Organic Coffee Company (notice how the K-cups have a paper filter for the bottom, instead of plastic), with Organic Valley cream.

Yes, I realize this is not the perfect breakfast, that is balanced in the food groups, but it is all organic, and better for me than a McDonald's breakfast or some other frankenfood! Oh, and I did have a little "Beet It" fresh juice from Whole Foods, which is beets, oranges, and carrots. Incidentally, did you know beets are good for your heart and blood?

Your breakfast was much healthier than ours, I made breakfast tacos with bacon, eggs, potatoes, cheese and tortillas.

It was yummy but most definitely NOT healthy.

Yum o! We had scrambled eggs, tomatoes (bountiful baskets), honey dew melon, mango, cucumbers, and home made bread. Crazy, but It was all within reach and it was tasty. DH was outside mucking stalls so I had to improvise!

Are you getting around a little better now Fab? Be careful on those crutches girl!!

Ex-Lady In Blue (Admin) --- 12 years ago -

Froggie, yours would be good if it was from pasture raised meat sources, free range eggs and organic veggies. Can't get around the tortillas, but everyone has to have a little something "sinful" every now and then (and who can turn down a good tortilla?).

FabFive, your breakfast sounds good, too, with the exception of the scrambled eggs. Don't ask me why, but I don't really care for scrambled eggs. I know, it really doesn't make sense, because I will eat an "over medium" egg (no slimy white, please, and yolk must be soft), and logically I know it is the same food, but it just doesn't taste as yummy to me. But, hey, everyone has their likes and dislikes in food.

Tonight's menu will be free range chicken (haven't decided if it will be lemon or garlic/Italian), a stuffed artichoke, organic carrots, with onion and parsley, organic salad items, and fresh strawberries for dessert. Incidentally, I was thinking of doing sliced strawberries with cream, but I have some really nice, fresh basil, and was thinking about infusing the basil in with the cream for something a little different. What do you think?

Can't get around the tortillas,

Use corn.

FabFive --- 12 years ago -

We make our own tortillas with organic wheat. Sweet mercy. It will make your heart sing.

Ok get ready to blast me.

After my double protein shake my breakfast was:

3 eggs over medium cooked in butter
12 slices crispy bacon
Hash browns
Half a slice of toast with tons of butter.

Perfection --- 12 years ago -

And then for lunch I'm having
3 slices bacon
2 pieces baked chicken
1/4 cup egg salad
3 gerkins
And my personal favorite
A boat load of creamy macaroni and cheese

Wil have another double protein shake in about 90 minutes when I get hungry again

I can put away copious amounts of crispy bacon.
