You husband can try this, too. It really works!

Here is a list of the contradictions, listed on her blog, and you'd really better watch the last one. ;-)

Contraindications for Lymphatic Drainage Massage

While it doesn’t feel invasive or deep, LDM can have a profound effect on the body because of its function within the immune system and its use of the circulatory system. If you have any of these conditions or problems, consult your physician before performing this on yourself:

1. Fever, acute infection, early onset inlammatory disease. You need to wait until the acute phase is over and the fever is broken.

2. Circulatory system problems, especially thrombosis. If there is any risk of embolism of phlebitis, do not use LDM and see your physician immediately

3. Cardiac issues such as heart disease, acute angina pectoris or coronary thrombosis (heart attack). Using LDM increases the fluid load on the heart, and compromised cardiac systems should not be subjected to LDM.

4. Active bleeding, internal or external.

5. Active malignant cancers, undiagnosed lumps, or tumors whose origins have not been determined by your physician.

6. High risk pregnancy or late term pregnancy with complications

Thanks ELIB. Wish I had read the gnc thing earlier. I got him colloidal silver. Got to thinking about it being a weekend coming up and worrying about no diagnosis. Took him to HEB Redi Clinic he has type a flu. Kids were vaccinated. This was the first year in probably 5 years we haven't gotten our shots. Anyways, they rx'd him Tamiflu. Went to Kroger to pick it up only to find out something needs approval with his employer before health ins will pay. I am mad as a hornet. So that was $135.99 out of pocket which they will hopefully reimburse me for. So now he's in bed just miserable. His work said 6 others have called in for this same shift. That is almost 1/3 of them. Ugh.

I had the type A...kicks your butt for a few days...the Tamiflu definitely helped

Monza I hope so. For such a big healthy man he is so sick. :( He got out of bed to go to HEB and to shower that's it. He can barely sit up to drink his juice. He used to be a baby about being sick but now with the kids he never does that any more be cause he doesn't want to add pressure to my already full hands. So, you know its bad. Ugh

Update: Still on Tamiflu, juicing, and colloidal silver. No improvement. The body aches are killing him. The good news is the fever seems less. Down from 103 to maybe 100 or 101.

Fever is what really takes it out of you.

MonzaRacer (Admin) --- 12 years ago -

It took about 3 days for the Tamiflu to really kick in good enough to see a real improvement. I had no trouble getting out of bed...it was the getting up off the floor after collapsing...LOL

LOL Monza!!

DH actually asked for food and is now laying in bed watching tv. He is past the sleeping 24/7 and now is able to talk a little too. Hopefully each day is a little better!

Update:

DH has turned the corner. He is by no means better but his fever is gone. I think now it is a matter of his body regaining strength. I can not thank you enough for your prayers.

this flu season is terrible, I have been fever free and symptom free for 2 weeks BUT still really weak. No energy

Glad your hubbin is better tho

Sounds like the kick butt part is over, but yeah, it'll take a while yet to get back to 100%...
