Does anyone know where this would be available around this area?

Ex-Lady In Blue (Admin) --- 12 years ago -

You can try, here.

Thanks Blue.

Yonder way farms has a local delivery. They sell grass fed meats, but they also deliver raw milk from Stryk Dairy. Last time we ordered from them, pick up was at the beltway and Mesa Road.

Lizandmike are you sure about that? I was talking to someone at the farmer's market and he said if you purchased raw milk, it had to be purchased by the customer on site/at the farm or it was an illegal purchase.

FabFive --- 12 years ago -

The sales of raw milk must be purchased from the farm, but I am sure people deliver illegally. What is sad is the crackdown on raw milk. Why can't we focus more on drugs and crimes against children?

Ex-Lady In Blue (Admin) --- 12 years ago -

Oh, trust me, I totally agree with you FabFive, they are doing some really STUPID things regarding raw milk, but Yonder Way Farm is a very good farm, and I can't imagine they would risk any crazy stuff from the federal government, just to help a few people get their delivery of raw milk.

I specifically asked the guy at the farmer's market if I could have a friend pick it up for me, and he said "legally", no. So stupid!

That whole Rawesome thing really got me.

Ex-Lady In Blue (Admin) --- 12 years ago -

Me, too, FabFive. Totally ridiculous!

lizandmike --- 12 years ago -

Yes. Yonder way farms does deliver milk with the meat order. Here's their web page that explains how they can do it. Yonder way farms

I was raised on raw milk, living near a farm, organic/free range eggs and chicken too..

Health benefits being only a part of the reason, the flavor was so much better too!!!! (unless my cooking is really that suckish.lol)

texanbrit --- 12 years ago -

Price per Gallon- $8 if your milk order is less than 20% of your total order amount

                         - $10 if your milk order is greater than 20% of your total order amount

Important Note ** If you are picking up at Yonder Way Farm milk is $8/gallon regardless of total order amount.

Does that confuse anyone else or just me? I don't know, maybe it's the lack of coffee, maybe it's an "extra ADHD day" or the result of my recently reduced stress level which reached magnificent heights last week...lol.

Thanks for the info, lizandmike! I do love Yonder Way Farm so if they can bring raw milk, too, all the better.

And, seriously, we can feed children drugs with major side affects (many of the drugs for mental health that can cause psychotic episodes), but we can't feed them raw milk, unless our local farmer, earning an honest living, jumps through hoops. WTH is wrong with this country??? >:(

Have you watched Farmageddon? It's on Netflix. It's very interesting.

FabFive --- 12 years ago -

Farmageddon makes me sick.

We just bought a gallon of raw milk today in Waco when we picked up our dog from the breeder. Although we don't intend to give our kids cows milk on a regular basis we did want to give it a whirl just to say we did. I will let you know how it is.

FabFive --- 12 years ago -

The raw milk was good. I am still sure we are not going to drink cows milk but if anything could lure me back it would be raw milk. I hear there are lots of allergy benefits.

AuthorMan (Mod) --- 12 years ago -

I don't drink milk often, but when I do- I prefer medium. :-)
