Looking for pie crust recipes,

anybody have any experience with gluten free thickening agents for stews, soups ect....?

Or any good Gluten Free substitutions for any other regular recipe that you've come across..

I have never used it, but I believe agar agar is a thickening agent used by vegans. It comes from seaweeds/plants so you might want to research that.

Thanks Blue, I have my brother and SIL visiting in July and he has to have gluten free, and to be honest, I am not against giving that diet a try, I'm not a "fad diet" person, but due to the research on this ect..., I don't consider gluten free to be a "fad diet".

texanbrit, there is a store called Gluten Free Houston over on I10. You should check it out. 

A friend of mine swears by almond flour. She uses it for cookies, pastries, and even thickening.

As soon as I finish my diet, I'm jumping on the almond flour bandwagon! :)
